Privacy Policy
Open IPTV is a private media player for playlists supplied by the user. It does not operate an IPTV service and does not provide media, channels, playlists, or provider subscriptions.
Account and sign-in data
The web player uses your email address to create an Open IPTV account and send one-time sign-in codes. We store your email, encrypted playlist connection details, favorites, playback progress, parental settings, cumulative watch time, and Supporter entitlement so your library can be available across signed-in web sessions. One-time codes expire after ten minutes and session credentials are stored in secure, HTTP-only cookies.
Playlist credentials and playback
Web playlist URLs, usernames, and passwords are encrypted at rest. Browser-compatible providers deliver media directly to your device. When a provider requires HTTP or CORS compatibility, media may stream through Open IPTV's Cloudflare edge relay. It does not pass through the Open IPTV application server and is not retained or cached by Open IPTV. Compatible MKV files may be remuxed in memory on your own device; they are not uploaded for conversion or stored. Your provider and, when used, Cloudflare receive the playback request and related network information. Open IPTV does not inspect content for editorial purposes.
Payments
Web Supporter subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Payment-card and wallet details are entered into Stripe's secure embedded payment fields and are not stored by Open IPTV. We retain Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, billing status, renewal date, and cancellation status. Native-app purchases continue to be processed by the applicable app store.
First-party product analytics
The web player records first-party product events needed to improve reliability and understand growth, including page visits, signup and subscription funnel steps, playlist activation, playback starts and errors, device category, approximate country supplied by the hosting network, and campaign parameters included in links. A random visitor identifier and initial campaign attribution are stored in your browser. We do not use third-party advertising pixels or collect playlist titles, channel names, or viewing content in these analytics events.
Collection and sharing
Open IPTV does not use advertising trackers, sell personal data, or use playlist activity for advertising. We share data only with service providers needed to operate the product, such as email delivery, hosting and edge delivery, payment processing, and the playlist provider selected by you.
Retention and deletion
Removing a web playlist deletes its stored credentials and associated favorites and progress. You may request deletion of your account and associated web data through support. Operational backups and billing records may be retained for a limited period where required for security, accounting, disputes, or law. Stripe and app stores retain payment records under their own policies.
Children and content
The app is not directed to children. Adult-group filtering is enabled by default, but playlist owners remain responsible for access control and the suitability of content supplied by their provider.
